    Lane Kiffin

Just released, Lane Kiffin is the new Tennessee Volunteers head coach. Definately a step up from the Raiders and that says a lot since I am a Raiders fan!

This is weird. Tennessee has to hire an uproven coach for their giant football program? Word is that he wasn't even that well-liked on the staff at USC.

I also heard his dad, the Tampa Bay Bucs defensive coordinator, is coming as well in a packaged deal.

seems like a risk to me also. He fell flat on his face with Oakland. (I know he worked for a crazy old creep, but still.)

    Re: Lane Kiffin

The old creepy guy never let him have full control of the team either. (the team continues to suck through the years yet one defensive coordinator remains)

And what has he done yet? The 75th best scoring offense in America whilst playing in one of the worst BCS conferences? ISU had a better offense in terms of points this year - I thought this guy was supposed to be an offensive genius or something...

    Re: Lane Kiffin

    Get a room.

Anyways, some of the best head coaches were not liked at all by their staff members. No one needs to like you - they just have to respect and work hard for ya.

This is a very good fit for both sides.

for not having his own recruits, that triple option is working very well

Funny - for not having his own recruits Chizik's offense worked better...
