Seasons over, Spring ball not here, let's talk recruiting

So of the targets left that we know about and still seem to be in the running for what are our best opportunities. What are the needs with the remaining schollies given who we already have verbally committed (I realize those aren't binding)?

From what I have read about Carpenter, sounds like we are out of thr running. Same thing for Andrew Green. I would like to see both of these in a cyclone uni, but it doesn't sound like it will happen.

Looks like we are still in the running for Spence and Gaines, which either of these 2 would be great.

Not much news from the DE stand point which is, imo, our greatest need this off season, but then again, I don't know too much about the underclassmen we have at that position.

It would be nice to pickup Anyiam, the DE from Texas. We were in his top couple choices a while back, let hope nothing has changed.

I hope whomever we get is quick and can get in the back field, even if we have to give up a little size against the run.

in this league you desperately need a pass rush... sacrificing the ability to stop the run better is something you have to deal with

We have several recruits for DT & DL on our radar: Spence, Anyiam, Sam, Knight, Sager, Reed, and others.

The apparently the likes of Marry & Prior are potentials for LB, not to forget those that pop up like Lamons.

Let's be hopeful and start having these men come aboard. Should we get some of these guys, I would be very pleased and impressed with the recruiting class.

Why aren't we recruiting O-Lineman more? It seems like Chizik likes to recruit athletes a lot.

How many more Juco's do we go after? I would like to see them get another safety besides Butler. We were so bad at safety I would like to see them over sign that spot to make sure we have at least a couple of guys that are servicable.

I haven't seen much info at LB but a guy who can make the deep drop from the MLB spot would be nice. Jesse Smith is solid against the run but we need someone to sub in on obvious passing downs.

I haven't read much about the DE(sorry I can't remember his name) but I do not believe he is a big pass rusher. More of a solid run stopper. Might be another spot to go Juco.

Of course I hope we land Money and Carpenter but I don't think offensive help is quite as crucial to next years improvement.

A DE will be the top priority. Nebraska has made a living off of having some big DEs. It is time for us to get on track. We missed so many tackles rushing the qb it was beyond count.

Let my Fred's Posse Ride: Georges, 3sus, Hallice, Deonte, Dustin, Abdel, Monte, Matt, and McKaT.

I don't know that many more OL are really necessary. They have Lichtenburg and Boffeli. Tuftee is coming off of greyshirt. I could see maybe one more.

I would have to agree we have a fairly solid group of linemen, but it wouldn't hurt to add a few more to increase competition.

I know I always enjoy when people disagree with what the coach has already said, and Coach Chisik actually said he would sign "4-5" OL.

I think he seriously means to upgrade the athleticism.
