Doubt it. I think hes evaluating his player first.

    Re: Asst. evalution

Do not expect any coach resignations for next year. It is still early and recruiting is still underway. Sometimes you reassign the coaches you have to different duties.

I noticed this year that some head coaches have gone to calling their own offensive plays.

Let my Fred's Posse Ride: Georges, Naz, Hogue, Bryce, Nader, Monte, Matt, and McKay.

Said it before and I'll say it again. I would love for Chiz to take over the defense.

    Re: Asst. evalution

It is to early to say Bolt needs to leave, I still think we have to give more time as hard as it may seem I think that is our best bet right now. There is a lot of time between now and the first game of next season. We have to recruit better defensive players with SPEED and I think we are doing a pretty good job of that.

I feel the same way about my wife. Doesn't mean she could coach her way out of a paper bag though.

Sorry, I actually agree with you. It was a frustrating year and I'm frustrated about the way our D played and I wish more could have been done to change that. It's still early though and we have to give these guys enough time to develop their plan. Next year is a big year. Things really need to start falling in place.

    Re: Asst. evalution

I say give Bolt time also, but someone explain to me how we drop off 10 yards from a wide receiver in the second half of CU and get torched and in the first half play up on them and no coach see a problem?

People were calling for Mizzou's OCs head a few years ago and now he's on everyone with an openings hot list. It takes time...

I'm kind of a big deal!

Wasn't his win against us in 2004 a big reason Pinkel still has a job? I thought there was a lot of talk of him being in the hot seat that year.

Hard too tell as of right now, give it a month, but I don't think we'll see any changes.

    Re: Asst. evalution

Bolt is running Chizik's defense...they will stick with it until players come in to fill spots. From what I've heard, Bolt is a very good coach, and a strong recruiter.

    Re: Asst. evalution

It's time for Wayne Bolt to Bolt. Our defense did not improve through the year. I can accept a losing season if I see improvement. We saw that on offense but our defense is the joke of the Big 12. I think we can do better for the $ we are paying out to our assistants!

At the very least what about Gene taking over the safeties. His secondary coaching was his claim to fame and it is obviously one of our biggest weaknesses. Move the safety coach(I believe it is Koontz-sp.) over to LB's to help Bolt so he can spend more time coordinating. Just a thought.

How about "It wasn't the coaches"? Especially at safety.
