The only way Mac goes to KSU to join Snyder's staff is if he is named "head coach in waiting". Otherwise he's not going to leave an assistant's job at Florida for one at KSU, especially when it means moving from Florida to Manhattan, Kansas. I'm surprised they didn't speculate about Chuck Long also joining Snyder's staff. I'm pretty sure Snyder was Chuck's OC when he was playing college football, and Chuck is of course available after being fired earlier today by San Diego State.

Gene Smith, 1993-2000. 7 years, 6 NCAA's, 1 bowl game. Revenue sports postseason participation 50%. Good.
    Bruce Vandevelde, 2000-20005. 5 years, 4 bowl games, 2 NCAA's, 2 NIT's. Postseason participation 80%. Better.
    Jamie Pollard, 2005-. 4 years. 1 bowl game, 0 NCAA's, 0 NIT's. Postseason participation: 13%. The next big step.

My ignore list: splitidentity, tarheelhawk, superdorf, clones_jer. That is all.

Just don't see Mac coming back to the wintery north. He's made his money, lives in Florida, and is part of a good football program.

I don't see Mac going anywhere that he could nto be head coach. I also don't see KSU bringing Snaggletooth (Snyder) back and then making Mac HC down the road. They will bring in some up and coming assistants and them name one of them as heir to the progam. If Mac would be HC there that would not worry me one bit. His offensive schemes would be less adequate in the Big XII today than they were 5 years ago. The only downside would be he still has ties to Iowa recruiting.
