    R.J. Sumrall

Went into 3rd place in all time receptions today. He has had a great 4 years and will be missed next year.

Never was the best player on the field but maybe was the most consistent

Great way to end his senior season with 2 TDs. Only wished he could have had a W in the last game. Best of luck to him in the future!

    Re: R.J. Sumrall

R.J.'s published goal prior to the season was 8 TD catches. The last play of the season was his 7th TD.

He's been through a lot at ISU (on and off the field), and I'm a bit down that he won't be revered as one of the best WR just because he didn't score as many TDs as the others.

In my mind he is one of the best....classy kid and only wish the best for him and the other seniors!

    Re: R.J. Sumrall

He made possibly two of the best catches of the year today. One was on that last TD. Another was a diving reception later on the in the game. He certainly has been pretty consistent. And had one of the better seasons by a receiver in recent history...

And was mere inches from being 11 catches for 165 yards and 2 TD, if not for the errant pass on 4th down.

He will be missed. I remember watching him play as a true freshman and thinking how good he looked then. I was very happy when he caught that last TD.

Don't forget the game-tying TD catch with 0:03 left against UNLV.
