    Iowa State, UNI & Iowa

With ISU & UNI playing the same system offensively and defensively down to the plays that are run, it seems to be a nice opportunity for Alford. With this years scheduling, he has the benefit of preparing for UNI's system and approach and then can spend a couple days working with his team on correcting how they executed against it before playing ISU. It is almost like playing the same team twice and having a chance to go back over the film identify the gaps and fix them.

From ISU's perspective GMAC can look at how Iowa played UNI and prepare for that.

While the preparation for Iowa will vary based on the different capabilities between different players at UNI & ISU, it seems to me, though that the bigger advantage is to Iowa and I would rather play them before UNI does.

    Thoughts?

I would have to agree. I think our only advantage is we have fresh legs and Iowa will only have a 3 day rest. Hopfully that is enough.
