    I Phone Reviews

I was all excited about the Blackberry Storms release yesterday so I called to have it overnighted to me with Saturday Delivery said they couldn't guarantee it would be here today but would guarantee a Monday delivery. Called today to get a tracking number and was told it hadn't been shipped and wouldn't be here until at least the 28th, with really no explanation other then that.

Now I'm a little upset because there was no apology or any rebate or something along those lines to make up for the delay and I'm thinking about switching to the Iphone.

Any reviews from Des Moines area users on the phone, internet, texting, etc?

I would recommend you buy the phone you want, even if you have to wait an extra 4 days for it.

The fact you're miffed that your phone would be 4 days later than they said it would (despite it being a holiday weekend, and the phone being one of the most anticipated in recent memory) means you should by all means buy an iPhone on Monday if you cannot wait until Friday.

Wait for the phone that you truely want. I waited 3 weeks to get my iPhone and am still happy that I did.

Iphone sucks! Don't get one. Berries are so much better for actually using. The iphone is pretty, but functionally it does not compare to a berry.

I love mine, but go try one out at the Apple Store and see for yourself!

The only downside right now is the lack of 3G from AT&T in Des Moines still.

Wow. Really? No examples of why you don't like the iPhone's functionality? Just a "this product sucks" statement?

    Re: I Phone Reviews

I Phones are not as good as Black Berries for most business applications, like outlook, etc.

I phones can be "hacked" to improve that though.

I'm more than happy with my iPhone. 6 mos in and no complaints.

The app store itself blows away anything a competitor can offer.

So you ordered a Storm but you titled your subject as I Phone Reviews?

    Re: I Phone Reviews

Truly amazing that someone is so excited about the release of a new phone that they order it to be overnighted, and complain when they can't get their hands on it right away.

A sad indictment of the consumer culture we live in. Looks like all their advertising worked.

The app store is one of the main reasons I will refuse to ever buy an iPhone.

Until they provide open access to the iPhone for developers, it's nothing more than a marketing tool and a way for them to get you to spend more money.

It's nothing more than "vcast" on steroids.

How can you call it vcast on steroids when you haven't used one for an extended period of time?

Is it wrong for a company to make money?
I'm okay with them keeping a tight leash on apps. Keeps viruses and spyware away.

It also keeps things like flash from showing up on the iPhone.

Vendor lock in is a bad thing. Apple today is Microsoft 10 years ago, but with hardware as well as software.

    Re: I Phone Reviews

    its got some faults...

    Nonremovable battery
    No memor slot

But its still a great phone with a lot of features the competition is trying to duplicate.

No memory slot? That is surprising.
