    Officiating mistake?

I was just watching the replay of UW-Milwaukee and noticed that Milwaukee got the ball to start the first and second half. Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought that if a team gets the opening tip the other team gets the ball to start the second half. Anyone know why UW would get the ball to start both halves?

Anybody catch when AT had the ball Friday and stepped about a foot out of bounds with no call? That was pretty funny...

    Alternating possesion's.

We must have had the last jump ball.

I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everyone.

Jump ball in the first half... the possession arrow shows who should get the ball to start the second half.

    -keep.

There was a jump ball on a blocked shot...

    Saw that, pretty good one.

Not as funny as the Milwaukee player passing it right by McDermott, then McD pointing to the color of his suit.

    Re: Officiating mistake?

I guess I didn't know that they used jump balls to decide that, I just figured that it was the opposite team that got the tip. Because of my job I hardly ever get to see the tip. At least I knew that you could have a tie in the NFL.

We were literally just making fun of parents at my daughter's 4th grade tournament who got bent when the same team got the ball at the beginning of both halves. We thought everybody knew why. On the bright side, you aren't the only one.

get them up to speed on the 3 second violation as well - the 3 second count starts over on every shot attempt. Seriously everybody tell 2 friends and have them tell 2 friends ... we can make the world a better place.

3 seeeeeeconds!!!!! (you know who you are)

This was an issue last year as many of the Big XII teams post players occupy the lane for so long... On the flip side, Jiri was in the lane for 3 seconds all the freaking time as well and didn't call it either.

If they're not calling it both ways it doesn't bother me too much

I don't drink the Kool-Aid, and I am done making excuses. Only keeping it real...

Reminds me of my ex-girlfriend, who couldn't figure out how everybody knew when to yell left or right when somebody fouled out.
