    On someone's radar for bracketology

    http://onlinesportsfanatic.com/2008/...y-november-16/

While I'm guessing he just saw that we are 3-0, he probably didn't realize they were against weak teams. Nonetheless, I'll take any type of pub from anyone. Apparently this guy updates nightly on this.

Good to see some positive media attention although it is way too early.

Surely there are a lot 3-0 teams with wins against weak opponents. We must be on there for some reason.

No kidding. Plus doing bracketology daily is a waste. Sounds like putting in a lot of extra work that isn't needed.

Crap, he's also got "school that must not be named" as a #16 seed. I have a feeling we will end up as a #1 seed when it's all said and done, so that could be trouble.

Re: On someone's radar for bracketology

This only shows Iowa State as a team to keep a close watch on - not somone in a bracket. That was Illiniois State.

Nonetheless, a good early season mention - and three good early season wins.

It's interesting to be the only school in America that would have a tournament grudge match against the school that must not be named.

You would probably never see a #1 seed's fans so fired up to beat that #16 seed.

Since we are an elite team now, let's go get that One Cyclone Moment.
Make this one for the ages!

Re: On someone's radar for bracketology

This team is going to be very good by the time the Big 12 season gets here. People that think we have no chance to be in the tournament will be surprised. Hilton Magic is on the rebound. We have an excellent chance to make the NCAA and if not we will be in the NIT for sure.

Gene Smith, 1993-2000. 7 years, 6 NCAA's, 1 bowl game. Revenue sports postseason participation 50%. Good.
    Bruce Vandevelde, 2000-20005. 5 years, 4 bowl games, 2 NCAA's, 2 NIT's. Postseason participation 80%. Better.
    Jamie Pollard, 2005-. 4 years. 1 bowl game, 0 NCAA's, 0 NIT's. Postseason participation: 13%. The next big step.

My ignore list: splitidentity, tarheelhawk, superdorf, clones_jer. That is all.

Re: On someone's radar for bracketology

Im sorry, but with our guard play, we cant compete in the Big 12, let alone make the NCAA. Give Wes a few years, and see what we have for his back ups, then ill talk about this team in the NCAA toury.

There are not many crowds or places in the country that have a better impact on the game than at Iowa State. The Cyclone fans are truly a sixth man. The place is so loud and always a fantastic crowd." - Former Kansas and current North Carolina head coach Roy Williams

It is far too early to be making predictions like that.

I think there are only 4 3-0 teams.

Again.... pointless... funny... and AWESOME that we are mentioned. :)
