Family play in Des Moines (kids get in free!)

Grand View College is putting on "Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day" (a musical based on the book of the same title) This Friday and Saturday (the 14th and 15th) at 7:30 and on Sunday (the 16th) at 2:00 in the afternoon. It's a really funny show with very nice performances from the cast. General admission is $5 but children under 14 get in for FREE!
The Viking Theatre is located in the GVC Student Center at 2811 E 14th st. (parking is accesible from Morton Ave.).
The show lasts just over an hour without intermission.

    I remember that book.

While on live TV, Ford used a vulgar term to describe a private part of the female anatomy, adding that he was “happily married” and “got more than enough to eat at home.”

Wow, she retired about 6-7 years ago. She is actually part of one of my favorite stories at Grand View. She had taught speech at GVC for over 25 years and it was her last class on her last day before her retirement. Students were giving the final project, a persuasive speech. The final student got up and delivered a speech about how that class was the most useless class that they had ever taken. I wanted to know if the student was aware that he was being graded by the professor who had spent her life teaching that course. If I was her I would have flunked him on principle. What could he do? She was gone!

I know what you are saying and that is unfortunate.

Well, I went to ISU and GVC. She was one of the coolest teachers that I ever had and I did learn a lot about public speaking from her. Due to the age on the board here I won't tell you what my topic was for my last speach.

When did you go to to GVC? I've been teaching here for about 12 years.

Re: Family play in Des Moines (kids get in free!)

GVC is/was great school! I loved my time at ISU and would not trade a minute, however, I learned a lot more at GVC. Ahem, that might of had something to do with me as well.
