    Re: Starting Lineup for Game?

Based on who they were using at the Cyclone Alley practice watch I would guess:

    Diante Garrett
    Brian Peterson
    Sean Haluska
    Alex Thompson
    Craig Brackins

Worst starting line up in the Big 12? We need Lucca back and a good bench to be successful this year

I would like to see McDermott rest Lucca for another week or two. No need to rush him back for exhibition and risk his knee bothering him all season long.

I thought that Lucca was not even an option for this game. Might see limited action in next weekend's games.

That team would have went 7-23 last year. Let's hope they've improved. a lot.

    explain your reasoning please.

for the most part 3 or 4 of those 5 mentioned were the majority of our minutes on the floor last year...I can't remember how many wins we had last year but im pretty damn sure those weren't all because of weaseley being on the team nor clark

McD has been here 3 years now and he is starting 2 walk ons. This is not a good sign.

Try saying that in January, not the first exhibition game.

At the moment, it should be more like:

McD has been here 3 years now and he is starting 3 seniors. This is a good sign.

Quit being so down on the team people! All of those guys made big strides during the season last year, and I'd expect all of them to be better this year than last.

Lets watch them play some games before writing them off!

My reasoning is pretty simple. We went 15-16 last year with Jiri Hubalek, Rahshon Clark and Wesley Johnson. You could make an argument that those were our 3 best players (certainly our most consistent players). So yesterday those 3 guys were replaced with Alex Thompson, Sean Haluska and Bryan Peterson. Need I say more?

Looking at the box score of the UNO game, I'm encouraged to see that 5 of the newcomers got at least 9 minutes. IMO, we're going to need JVB or one of the other big men to start ahead of AT. Otherwise, teams will double team Brackins all game long. AT was not an offensive threat at all last year, and it looks like nothing changed during the offseason.

Wesley?!! Either completely absent, or hobbling on one leg?!!! One of our best players, and a contributor to the fifteen wins?!!!!

Maybe one or two, but for the vast majority of last season, Wes was essentially nonexistent.

    Re: Starting Lineup for Game?

1 of our Walk Ons scored 16 points, 1 point less than one of the highest ranking recruits ever. Another walk on had 10 rebounds. I don't see a problem playing those guys.

Again, I'm feeling positive about yesterday.

Even with a broken bone, Wesley was our leading scorer in most of the conference games. I'm not defending him, but he only missed a few games. When he came back, he still averaged about 15 ppg, I think. Can't discount him.
