FSU's Rolle Chooses Academics over Football

FSU's Myron Rolle is choosing Rhode Scholar interview over game. - Stewart Mandel - SI.com

There's a great story about Florida State's star safety Myron Rolle. He's interviewing for a Rhodes Scholarship on Saturday, Nov. 22. As a result, he'll miss at least half and possibly all of FSU's game against Maryland. Good for him.

They should just give it to him based solely off this decision

I agree, that's very impressive. Hopefully ESPN decides to give them the late slot so he can come back for the second half.

This is very impressive to me. Very smart kid, and hopefully everything will work out for him

What is most impressive about this story to me is how supportive his coach and AD are of his decision. There will always be another football game.

I hate people like this guy.

Let me get this straight. He is smarter than me by a mile and he also is a way better athlete than I ever thought of being. This guy sucks. I bet his girlfriend is smokin hot also.

I'm more impressed that FSU has a football player that even knows what a Rhodes Scholar is, let alone is qualified to be one.

I was about to add that he is probably more attractive than you, too.

And has a bigger...well, you know

While on live TV, Ford used a vulgar term to describe a private part of the female anatomy, adding that he was “happily married” and “got more than enough to eat at home.”
