    Verizon BB Curve Owners

The new OS 4.5 is now officially out from Verizon on their site. Taking quite a while to download but having HTML email should be a plus.

Do you just browse to Verizon's site on your phone and pull it down?

You have to go to the website. Here is a good tutorial with a link to the Verizon link.

    Re: Verizon BB Curve Owners

I upgraded last night and had tons of fits. I finally got it to go but it wasn't fun.

Note - I was also migrating from BES to BIS at the same time which obviously complicated the situation.

Overall, it won't really matter to most if you already had programs that did the things it now has (i.e. HTML email).

A program isn't built on one player and it doesn't succeed because of one player, thus a program won't fail if it doesn't get that one player.

Worked well for me, back up and running in under an hour. Now I have to go back and set all my tones and alerts again though.

Does the HTML email just work from now on or should it change my old emails over?

    Re: Verizon BB Curve Owners

The HTML email will only work on new emails going forward - and it requires that Verizon activate it on their end. I haven't tested it to see if they have in fact done so.

    Re: Verizon BB Curve Owners

The actual BB browser looks better than it did on 4.3, about the only real change I can see so far.
