hows this for injuries in high school..

i go to waukee, and the football team was destroyed by injuries over the course of their 2 playoff games. 5 starters were hurt, including 3 players who will likely be all confence and potential all state players.

Jake Knott WR/LB - Broken tibia, the leading reciever (846 yards, 22.9 ypc, and 5 TD's and 11 carries for 22 yards but 4 TD's; 106 tackles on defense and 2 INT, 1 for TD) and 9th ranked player in the state (rivals 2*)
Ted Hagg LB - Double ankle sprain, leading tackler (107 tackles), will play in college at a small school
Walker Woods RB/DB - injured leg on horsecollar tackle, unsure of the extent of the injury, leading rusher (1998 yards, 7.2 ypc and 31 TD's)
Jordan Warner FB/LB/DE - Torn shoulder muscle, leads team in sacks and very athletic, is a junior
Dalton Stiffel OG/DT - separated shoulder, starts on DL/OL (85 tackles, 4.5 TFL) and is a key part in making waukee more competitive this season, is a junior

not making an excuse for the loss to ankeny because that ankeny offense is unbelievably good, but that really hurts a team there

Ankeny has a really good kicker that is a freshman. He made one last night. When both teams were healthy, we still won easily three times in a row.

Correction: 1 substate game and 1 playoff game. Injuries aside, Waukee is not in Ankeny's league.

waukee shouldve won the first game against ankeny. If waukee was healthy they wouldve won. Ankeny isn't as good as they have been the last couple years

Yeah, they suck. Averaging 49 points again the last 7 games is bad. No, Waukee wouldn't have one. They belong in 3A.

well apparently you go to ankeny/went to ankeny or have a grudge against waukee because waukee would be #2 in 3A, only heelan is better, harlan is down. If a school like waukee finished 2nd in the conference for the 2nd straight season, played ankeny to a 27-15 game early in the season @ ankeny and only lost to valley 24 - 17 @ valley, and won a postseason game over indianola i think they belong in 4A

what about north, hoover, roosevelt, ottumwa, fort dodge, mason city... they cant compete on nearly the same level as waukee but they are 4A.

    grow the **** up man

the second of the three wasnt easy, maybe you didnt watch that game? lol. waukee still has 3 players better than any 1 on ankeny, waukee just doesnt have the depth and numbers yet.

Perfect example how you need a whole team of team players and not just 3. 3 players aren't going to make or break a team...sorry waukee. You got beat by a more physical ankeny team!

Ankeny had, has, and always will have one of the most physical teams in Central Iowa and I didn't even go to Ankeny. Just played against them many times and have watched them many other times. Sorry to burst your bubble Waukee

Tough to watch because it is hard to tell who has the ball.
