Ah, the timeless game of chicken. Let's hope Harrison believes his decision should not be rushed and calls them on it.

If I am HB, I guess I would have to at least ask myself how much UNC REALLY wanted me if UNC can't wait for the #4 overall player in the nation. If I really wanted to play for UNC and had just been waiting for UNC's offer (which sounds like it might be the case), it probably would not matter. However, if I just favored them slightly and still felt I needed time to make my decision, I'd probably say either remove the time limit or the answer is no (especially knowing the other offers I have in my back pocket).

That's just me, but I'm a man, even though I am not 40 yet, and HB is a teenager.

No kidding. As a guard and from an academic standpoint, Duke is more attractive....

From a UNI grad who also has always rooted for ISU, in addition to the avitar, which, as Fred McGriff noted, will make people presume you are just one of those opposing teams' fans who intentionally stir the pot; it is the way you ask the questions and the tone of the questions that stirs the pot and causes defensive posts. Whether or not you intend such to stir the pot, only you really know such.

If you all would open your eyes, you would realize that nobody would go to Iowa State with offers from Duke and UNC on the table.
I would, honestly, I would. I always valued family and the ability to easily get together with them. I like the midwest and have never cared for that part of the country. Not to mention, I've never liked those schools. Plus, in Basketball I really don't see what school you attend being a major contributor in weather or not you go pro. I'm not saying that other midwest schools with more tradition wouldn't get the nod instead. But, not everyone in the world is blown away by Duke and NC. I also wouldn't blame Harrison for choosing either of those schools though. Knowing what they do mean. Not everything is so cut and dry for everyone though. If nothing else, I'd really like to know my parents could be at most of my games rather than watch them on TV. But that's me and I'm not very good at basketball, so my opinion could mean squat, and probably does.

It sounds like we need to put together a good number of wins to have a chance with Harrison. Something we pretty much new all along.

I'm glad that he is mature enough not to read the immature postings on message boards --- unfortunately that means that he will miss the mature postings, like mine and yours, of course.

Paul Biancardi : OK, Mike, here we go. UNC is way out in front right now. Iowa State's next with Iowa a close third.

I would like to see more of our recruits have that as a Top 5, if the commit to us of course.

That's the typical I don't know crap so I'll throwout the big gun as the leader and throw the two state schools in to make it look nice. Dude is clueless. Just say you don't know. Like Harry is going to tell him.

Although, after UNI beats ISU for the third straight time next month maybe he would start to consider it.
He would only consider it until UNI loses to Drake. Again.

Gene Smith, 1993-2000. 7 years, 6 NCAA's, 1 bowl game. Revenue sports postseason participation 50%. Good.
    Bruce Vandevelde, 2000-20005. 5 years, 4 bowl games, 2 NCAA's, 2 NIT's. Postseason participation 80%. Better.
    Jamie Pollard, 2005-. 4 years. 1 bowl game, 0 NCAA's, 0 NIT's. Postseason participation: 13%. The next big step.
