    If you are bored today

Go to any Kansas State message board and watch the meltdowns. To say Ron Prince needs to wear a bullet proof vest the next game he coaches. If he makes it that far. I guess his act is over.

Seeing how he tried to build that program and how Chizik is doing the exact opposite here has me even more encouraged....

    Free Rivals Board:

    GoPowercat.com - Message Boards

    Free Scout Board:

    Scout.com: Wildcat Football

I looked around, and that was all I could find. I found a couple fan sites, but they all linked to one of these for their Message Board.

Re: If you are bored today

Found a link to an interesting OP-ED piece in the Topeka Capital-Journal:

CJOnline Blogs - Haskin: Prince's Cat reign must end

It's not looking good for Prince. With their next two games against Mizzou and Nebraska, they could be in total meltdown mode when we arrive in the Little Apple.

    Bullet-proof vest?

No wonder K-State fans are some of the absolute worst in the country.

Re: If you are bored today

This is funny. To me, not to the KSU fans.

Here's a response to a KU poster on the site:
Go Away! Don't you have a dad of some basketball player to hire as an assistant coach for the third time? Even your donors cheat. I hope Kivisto enjoys his view from prison. You and your bow-tie wearing fans are pathetic.

And another, along the lines of ISU bolting from the B12:
the real question is should ksu keep football?

ISU fans are the greatest in the world. All they ask for is hope and the belief that we have a chance to win every time we step on the field - Johnny Majors (paraphrased)

Ya gotta have the horses, man - Johnny Orr.

Re: If you are bored today

As a KSU grad, my opinion is that Ron Prince must go. He is not bold and daring. He is an arrogant egotist. The man either cannot or will not hire experienced assistants with quality D-1 experience. He mistreats his assistants and players whenever he feels they have let him down. Now is into telling large donors where to go. Prince is being shut out in Kansas recruiting high school players because parents do not even want him near the house or school. Prince is a master of words. Even the most naive KSU fan realizes that the man is nothing but ego, arrogance, and hot air as demonstrated by his teams going backwards during each season and have became worse every season.

Re: If you are bored today

I was shocked when they gave him that contract extension in the off-season. Thought it was way too early for the AD to make a gesture of such faith.

Prince even sold out on the massive JUCO recruiting trying to shore up problem areas, and it doesn't seem to have worked at all.

One thing that Jon Miller was right about, for sure. Once K-State is down, they're not coming back up for a long, long time. Maybe its kool-aid, but I'm not sure that K-State has all that much more to offer to recruits than Iowa State does.

KSUFANS - Home is another board that's pretty active.

As a KU fan, I want Ron Prince to stay at KSU for as long as possible.

I heard something about the AD (and the President?) leaving KSU (planned) at the end of the year, which would cause some problems with the timing of hiring a new coach.

Obviously, the new AD would want to hire his guy and not a guy that was hired by the lame-duck AD before him as he was walking out the door. Of course, waiting until the new year (and new AD) doesn't make much sense for recruiting this year. Sticky situation, if true.

Do you know anything about this, iowa_wildcat?

Re: If you are bored today

The AD is not leaving. He has 4 years left on his contract. President Jon Wefald is retiring at the end of spring semester. Wefald and Wefald alone hired Prince. Wefald has done many great things for KSU including hiring Bill Snyder. Unfortunately, Wefald causes a constant turnover in ADs because he will not leave them alone to do their job. The last 3 ADs have left to what could be considered sideways moves at best.

I don't know about that. 2 years ago when we went there we had a great time tailgating with their fans and no one gave us crap in the stadium either. It's just like here, you are going to have your idiots that think the sky is falling no matter what.
