And we beat out UNLV. Well, correct that. It was a game we could have won.

Re: CFN Has ISU higher than CU

The difference between Colorado's record and our record is that Colorado beat K-State by one point at home and upset West Virginia in overtime in a very poorly coached game by the Mountaineers. Remember, Colorado needed a big comeback to beat Eastern Washington in the second week of the season.

Colorado has a better defense than us, but their offense isn't good. They have a bunch of injuries on the OL, their starting RB Rodney Stewart broke his leg, and they have the worst QB play in the Big 12. They are the best match-up for our defense since the South Dakota State game.

This is a good opportunity to break the road losing streak. I'm not saying it will happen, but we should have a good shot.

Correct. It would be nice to win one for a change.

We seem to do really bad in Boulder though. Even in years where there isn't much of a gap between us and CU...

Re: CFN Has ISU higher than CU

I'm not sure if that's really the case. The last 4 games in Boulder, plus team records.

2006: (4-8) ISU 16 (2-10) CU 33 (ISU fired DMac during the week)
2004: (7-5) ISU 14 (8-5) CU 19 (CU won Big 12 North; ISU missed 2 FGs inside 30 yards and CU made two FGs over 50 yards)
    2002: (7-7) ISU 27 (9-5) CU 41 (CU won Big 12 North)
    2000: (9-3) ISU 35 (3-8) CU 27

The only time you could argue ISU really should've won was in 2000, and they did. I don't really think Boulder is a tough place to play, and I expect the game to be competitive. Don't know if ISU can win, but it will be close.

Also, for an exercise in frustration, read the recap of the 2004 ISU-CU game. (ESPN - Crosby first Buffalo with two 50-yard FGs in one game - NCAA College Football Recap) ISU missed a FG from 22 yards, a FG from 25 yards, CU made a 54 yard FG, a 60 yard FG, ISU failed to score on 5 trips to the red zone, and ISU muffed two punt returns which CU recovered. Oh, and if ISU would've won that game, they would've been Big 12 North champs. My god it's tough being an ISU fan.

Those 2 fumbles punts inside our own 10 at Boulder in '04 resulted in CU's TDs. We REALLY should've won that game.

Don't remind me about that game/season.

As far as this season, we can win all three of our remaining games. Yes I know that includes the Miz and no I am not high on drugs.

This is possible, definitely, but not likely. I do not see Mizzou as unbeatable (like I did earlier this year) and CU and KSU are arguably as bad as we are. However, we're still very bad on defense. Bryant's 80 yard td is, imo, the shining example of how bad our safety play has been this year. I bet a few CF members could catch tds against our safeties, lol. CU can't do anything right now on offense though, so, just MAYBE we can pull that one out...

We need to hope for a monster snowstorm the day before and during the game. That or bitter cold as the weather is going to be the only thing that will neutralize the Mizzou offense in Ames.

I don't know if you have every really been at higher elevations, but it does make a difference. When you live and practice at 5,400 feet, your body gets use to the reduced air; but when you live and practice at 900 feet, you just can't prepare for that kind of environment. Take it from someone who grew up in the mountains and has been above 15,000 feet.

Additionally, the numbers speak for themselves. Since 2002, Colorado has had a 28-19 record at home and a 16-24 record away. They are also 4-1 this season at home and 0-4 on the road. I would say they have some home field advantage.

That's why it's important to get out and vote. There is an initiative on our ballot to repeal Murphy's Law.

There is also some language about repealing the law of gravity, but the group organizing it doesn't have much pull.

Dean Wormer was wrong. Fat, drunk and stupid was a great way to go through college (all five years of it).
