Led Zeppelin To Tour, Record Without Plant?

I would go watch these guys perform even without Robert Plant.

As cool as it would be to see these guys perform, it just wouldn't be Zeppelin with Plant not singing.

Being worried about it NOT being Led Zepp was over then Bonham died.

I agree but there's a BIG difference between seeing a band with a different drummer than there is seeing them without the most distinctive voice in rock.

Not when you are talking about John Bonham.

Great drummer? Absolutely. More important to Zeppelin than Plant's voice? No chance.

Ask Journey about that. Steve Perry? They found a guy that not only sounds EXACTLY like him, but even looks like him.

Don't get me wrong, it would be stupid to have Zep without Plant, but being a musician Plant is the only guy you could possibly replace in that band and still have the best band ever.

This is of course just my opinion.

Please don't compare Zeppelin to Journey. Ever.

And I'd never go see Led Zeppelin without Robert Plant just like I wouldn't go see Pink Floyd without Roger Waters.

If you would have read any of the thread you would realize there was no comparison made, only a point that it is possible to replace a singer.

And I WOULD go see both Floyd without Waters and whatever Zep would call themselves without Plant if I ever had the chance. Which I probably won't.

Saw Floyd in college but I would love to just be in the same room as Jimmy Page.

Re: Led Zeppelin To Tour, Record Without Plant?

Yeah but Journey shouldnt even come up in the same conversation really. Mostly because, well, Journey blows wieners.

Page and Jones? Maybe worth seeing but I wouldnt think I was hearing Zep really.

Nothing to see here mods. Keep moving.

It's not Zeppelin w/o Bonzo anyway so Plant's pressence is irrelavent. Get it?

Re: Led Zeppelin To Tour, Record Without Plant?

    No Plant No Zepplin.

I could deal with out Bonham not playing. Heck he is dead. They would have his son play. Not a bad alternative.

It's just knowing that Robert Plant is alive and not singing Zeplin songs would ruin it.
