    Time Change?

Did anyone else have their phone change back an hour? When I woke up it was actually 11:30, but my phone said 10:30.

    Re: Time Change?

My alarm clock set itself back an hour but everything else that automatically changes (cell phone and cable box) didn't change.

    Re: Time Change?

I looked it up, and apparently it used to be the last Sunday in October, but starting in 2007 it changed to the first Sunday in November. Maybe my phone is programmed for the old date.

Correct. A few years ago, Congress thought it would be a great idea to change the days on which Daylight Savings Time starts and stops. It now begins I think three weeks earlier in the Spring and ends a week later in the Fall. But there are several electronic devices out there that were programmed to automatically change on the old dates and can't be altered to change on the new dates instead. Our alarm clocks did the same thing overnight. Hope nobody had to be anywhere important this morning or they might have been an hour late!

    Re: Time Change?

Yea, that stinks. I pulled up to church and thought it was quite weird that nobody else was walking in. Then I figured out my phone must have been wrong when my car said it was 12:15 rather than 11:15

    Re: Time Change?

Our alarm clock changed as well, but nothing else did. Will have to replace the clock or something eventually - being the time change weekend was changed a while back.

Time to put my old XM satellite radio receiver on Eastern Time since I can't manual adjust the time...

Pretty soon, Congress will start borrowing daylight from our grandchildren. Hope they like living in the dark!

Yeah, 2007 was fun as an IT rep when people hadn't run their Windows patch to fix the times.

What receiver do you have? There are firmware updates that fix the daylight savings issue.

So, is this the Y2K everyone was fretting over...just 8+ years late?
