    Saw V

So, who else here is excited to see the new Saw Movie?!? I love those movies, I'm always in awe of how somebody can think of that many ways to torture people, and yet I find it entertaining to watch.

    Re: Saw V

I just want to know the ending. I have no dream of seeing the whole thing. The ending is what they are hyping right now. I liked the first one alot, but since then, I have kinda of lost interest.

After I slept through Saw III, I really can't get excited for another one.

    Re: Saw V

A friend told me that the creators of the Saw series are signed on for SEVEN movies. That leads me to believe that #5 will not be the end, at all.

    Re: Saw V

    Couldn't be less interested.

    Hey, you asked..

Pretty slow time for movies right now. Kinda interested in the new DiCaprio/Crowe movie. That's about it. Saw "Burn after Reading" last week. Not bad. Looking forward to the next Kevin Smith flick "So and so make a Porno". But the previews have been pretty lame. "W" looks interesting, but so far the reviews are both ends of the extreme.

    Re: Saw V

The first Saw was kind of interesting in its plot twist.

The second one was outright boring - let's see how sick we can make the crowd.

Haven't watched one since (horror movies tend to bore me anyway - "oh, look - there's a crowbar on the floor. Lemme guess - that's going thru someone's head." 3 minutes later it's in nameless victim's head).

    Re: Saw V

Looking forward to it for the same reasons as original poster. And to add to the comment of how many there are going to be. I thought the writer only signed on for 6, but who knows.

I like a horror movie that can effectively use traditional scares. Excessive gore does not impress me it sickens me. The old slasher movies were much more tolerable because they used suspense, music, and an eerie set. Movies like Hostel are just gross.

    Re: Saw V

I've seen them all and I like the way they all relate to each other and they keep bringing back characters and having them involved in the newest one somehow. The timeline is hard to keep straight but well done imo.

See, Nightmare on Elm Street and Friday the 13th also failed to impress me.

I guess I have to say the last shock/horror flick that I even liked was Final Destination - only because nothing like that had been done before. The second one got tired real quick, and I didn't even bother watching the third.

    Re: Saw V

The first Saw was pretty cool. After that I started getting more bored with them with each passing movie.

For the life of me I can't remember if I saw the 4th one or not. I guess I should run over to IMDB and read a synopsis.

    Re: Saw V

I thought the first one and the last one (IV) were the best. The others were just ok...

I agree with Final Destination. It was a new one. But they did kill it with 2 more.

I didn't think 2 was horrible, it just lost its uniqueness, and they really went for the "shock" factor. It was an okay movie, but left me with no desire to see 3...
