    Jamie lays out the gaunlet

Sorry if I missed this in an earlier thread, but this is my first chance to get online today.

Pollard was on KXNO this morning, and paraphrasing him, he said the administration has done their job and now it's the fans' turn to do their job. The infrastructure is in place to succeed, and now it's time to step up to the bar and buy SEASON tickets, not just single game tickets, and give money (or more money) to the NCC.

Some ISU fans have whined for years that "we don't pay our assistants enough" or "we don't have the facilities" or whatever. Well ladies and gentlemen, those days are OVER. Are we willing to give more money and buy more tickets, talk our neighbors and friends into buying tickets, or buy more tickets than we really need and give them to people to get them sold on ISU football, so we can finish the south end zone, and have 50,000 at JTS on a regular basis?

The ball is in our hands, and I for one am on board. I moved up one level in the NCC and I am buying 4 tickets next year, even though it's just my wife and me at home.

    Who's with me?

Same here. Now is the time to enjoy. Fake plays, great calls, blitzes, interceptions. Plain vanilla offense and plain jane defense days are gone. Excitement is back. Hit em where they can't see you.

I am planning on going up a level or 2 in the NCC, but season tickets are probably not in the cards for me since I will only be able to make it to 1 game again (the season opener).

Buy early, buy massive, and be the start of the era. Like Johnny Majors style.

This is a really great thread. I appreciate the generosity that is being shown. It really makes you proud to be a cyclone.

I unfortunately am tight as it is for money. So buying extra tickets is out of the question. But I will be stepping up my donation level this year.

    Go State!

I may be preaching to the choir on this site, but if you haven't read JP's 5 year plan "Taking the next BIG step"... DO SO!

It is great and you can see he has vision and some serious goals.

Re: Jamie lays out the gaunlet

Gene will definitely find an excellent offensive coordinator. He will spend a chunk to bring in top flight. Someone dinged my rep for being optomistic too early (was that you Barney?), but HUMBUG, there is no reason not to expect a quality offense next year. Some coaches can take the material they have and make it into a masterpiece. I expect this to be the case next year. We will not be last in defense and offense. Look at little Frank Solich - it can be done with good coaching. Rah rah quips is not as good as sound coaching.

Gene knows defense, but he is a smart man and knows that offense butters the other side of the bread. Will the strength coach stay? Probably. Our best McC coach in the end appeared to be the special teams coach IMO. Obviously, we had a hard time keeping the players fired up for 60 minutes this year except when Barney went proactive in the huddle for Missouri.

Re: Jamie lays out the gaunlet

I will promote ISU and season tickets to anyone that will listen right up until the first game. The scary thought is this is our chance to really get this program to the next level...JP has done everything that he can do. If us as fans do not donate and promote this program to others, and this all fails, no other AD or big name coach would ever give us a shot like this again. Lets get er done!!

I just heard that Superman wears Jamie Pollard pajamas.

In all seriousness though, looking at what has taken place at ISU since Jamie got here, if this doesn't awaken the Cyclone nation, I'm not sure what will. The pieces are falling into place, now its up to the fans to put the money where their mouth is.

This is our chance. Alumni need to put their checkbooks where their mouths are to get it done.

    WHY NOT US?

Re: Jamie lays out the gaunlet

im uping my donation from 200 to 2000, im a young guy and money is tight, but when it comes to me Loving ISU, there is nothing more that i can do.. I hope everyone else does the same, because win or lose, one of the best feelings in the world is being at jack trice stadium with 55,000 strong and the whole place rocking on third down.. the thing is, Only the DIE HARD fans come to all these boards CR, CN, CF..... we need a way to promote this even further and tell people that we need their help to go to the next level.

The NCC stats are amazing. $100 isn't that much yearly and would make an impact. I'm joining as I have not in the past.
