    CAUTION-DICKIE ALERT

Dickie V is calling the Indiana at Duke game this pm. How many Duke superlatives can you handle? This team has 3 (count them, three) McD frosh.

Reminds us that we are in basketball season - UNI tomorrow.

    Re: CAUTION-DICKIE ALERT

you know really, does Dickie V. talk X's and O's very much? providing great analysis? It seems to me all he does is reminisce on how great of teams Duke (or whatever team he's calling) had in the past, or how good they are gonna be in the future with all the incoming 5-star, parade, mcdonalds, all-world players, or gushing over the cameron crazies, or blabbing how college basketball is better than college football....

I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.

Dukie V. can be fun to listen to.......in very small doses. I can't sit and watch/listen to a whole game with him doing the "commentating."

    Re: CAUTION-DICKIE ALERT

I've emailed he for some early season props for McDermott and Taylor.

He gave some big time kudos to the Missouri Valley and their start.

Dick Vitale is a moron. Never says anything worthwhile... he's like that overly excited fair-weather fan sitting behind you at games, except that he's been given a microphone and a national audience.

Maybe the game needed him 25 years ago, but it sells itself now. I won't watch a game he calls, it turns my stomach

Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.

ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other."
