Huge opportunity for new NCC members

There is an interesting map on cyclones.com of living ISU alumni within the US and how many are current NCC members.
    http://admin.xosn.com//pdf7/50278.pdf?SPSID=60937&SPID=6632&DB_OEM_ID=10700
Everyone should be able to look at that map and see the huge opportunity we have in increasing donations. I canít believe that I am only one of 115 alumni in Nebraska that are giving to the NCC. I see a lot of ISU decals on cars and people wearing ISU apparel and canít believe itís the same 115 people so címon alumni in nebr, step up and show your support even more!!!!
Same for all out of staters! Looking at that map I know we can do better than that. (only 57 in Missouri??) I suggest that all current NCC members and fans make it a mission to recruit new members or new season ticket holders.(yourself included) JP recruited a coach that can take us to new level now it is time for us to do some recruitingÖÖ.

I am surprised Missouri is so low it seems like there are a large number of ISU grads here

Re: Huge opportunity for new NCC members

if we even got 5% of the Minnesota living to give $50 a year, that would be an extra $31K a year. And some would give more than $50 bucks.

this graphic is staggering to me..i had no idea the # of NCC givers was that small!

Here is a map that breaks out NCC membership per county in Iowa. Again, lots of room for improvement. You can't tell me we can't easily jump 2-4 spots in B12 revenue.

These maps are a great idea, and somethign they should send out. It almost creates friendly competition among the amluni in different states.

I personally feel embarrassed about the lack of members in Colorado. Only 29 others?

unreal...only 1,862 people are members of the national cyclone club in Polk County with over 18,000 living alumni?! JP will be on a mission the next year to increase that #!

Curious what other schools are like, I am sure the Omaha % is over 20% members in the Husker Club (assuming there is one)

    Excellent question.
If ISU could make it easy for people to sign up, and let people know what the perks/benefits are, I think they will gain more members.

I graduated in 1993 and I'm not sure if the NCC has ever contacted me?

Re: Huge opportunity for new NCC members

NCC needs a marketing overhaul. It was always pitched to me as having gameday benefits. Well, for those out of state, that isn't much of an incentive to join. Yes, I realize it is really all about the donations but still, it should at least appeal to those outside of the state.

Doesn't the Alumni Association have one of the largest membership levels in the Big XII? Shouldn't we be leveraging that to increase the NCC membership level?

It's really easy now to join the NCC. Go to cyclones.com and click the Natl Cyclone Club link in the top right corner. Or go to cyclones.com and go to Donor Info in the left nav bar. The new website has really made finding things easier and the layout much better.

Re: Huge opportunity for new NCC members

Hey, Carroll Co. has the highest percentage of NCC members vs. living alums! I was once a member, but let it go. Maybe it's time to re-join...
(Isn't one of the benefits a parking pass for the football games or is that a different deal these days??)

Re: Huge opportunity for new NCC members

I've donated to the ISU Foundation for several years and this fall I received and invitation to join the NCC, I believe the first invite I've ever received. (I joined) Cyclones.com does have information on benefits (discount apparel, priority seating and parking, etc.)

I believe the drive to increase membership in the NCC is how Pollard expects to pay for the coaching changes and the improvement in facilities. ISU is well below average for alumni donating to the athletic department.
