    Leatherheads

I rented the movie tonight. Anyone here watch it? I enjoyed it, but tell me why the Chicago team came out to Boomer Sooner. I found that wierd.

    Re: Leatherheads

The tune for "Boomer Sooner" was swiped directly from "Boola Boola" (Yale's fight song). Given the setting for the movie was in the 1920s, I'm guessing it was meant to be an homage to Yale instead of Oklahoma.

But that really doesn't answer your question.

Why are you up that early? Doing the walk of shame?

ironically I just watched Leatherheads last night. I thought it was a decent movie. I didn't notice they used boomer sooner for the Chicago team.

I noticed it when I saw the movie - I said WTF to myself at the moment, but didn't give it much thought after that. Really good movie. Not nearly the slapstick I thought it was going to be, but more a depiction of a 1920s film about a 1920s football team.

Maria Sharapova: Don't you beat up other guys for a living? I don't know how to answer this.

I agree. It's not the double over in laughter kind of movie, but still a very good movie none the less. I think that will go on my wish list to add to my movie collection.
