    1. Yes. (I was there...)
    2. Yes.
    3. Only name on the jersey that matters is the name on the front.

Tell that to Texas, Oklahoma, Texas Tech, Oky State, Missouri, and Kansas.
All Big 12 top 25 teams with their names on their jerseys. Obviously putting
a name on a jersey does not make you a better team player. It's something that only helps the fans in player recognition, no more

Chizik says it the best...if the player wants to be known by the fans, he better get out their and make some big plays!

That's fine, but I think the point Chizik is making by not putting names of the jerseys is that you play for the name on the front, not the name on the back. It's his philosophy, and I think it's a good one for helping instill the right attitude in his team. Now, you can argue that it doesn't make a difference, and you are probably right. But it's symbolic more than anything.

Besides, you can print out the roster or buy a program for the names. At this point in the season I suspect most people have a good idea of which player is which, anyway.

Re: More photos from the Baylor vs. ISU game

I also learned that pic 177 was clearly a block in the back.

Anyway. Who cares about the name. If the player was good enough you'd know them by number, we just don't have any standouts that are recognizable aside from 3 or 4 guys. If they make a big play they're announced anyway. If you wanna just know buy a program

It's really hard for me to keep up with it when they are rotating guys like offensive lineman in and out, but I understand Chizik's point. It's just a personal preference thing for me wanting them back. Also, I get asked by people around me constantly who is making what play. Trust me when I say a lot of people have no idea who is who.

Is there a chance, after last Saturday's "effort" that we can take the name off the front, as well?
