    Watching other hires now.

Ah yes, now we can all sit back and watch all the other hires. So far MSU has picked up Deantonio(sp?) from Cincy.

I don't predict too many better hires than what we got. Pelini going somewhere would be about equal in my mind. But I think we got dibs on the best guy.

How about Harbaugh or Norvell for offensive coordinator?

He's got the cash to go after some good names. I just hope he brings in someone to send Meyer and Blythe out on a high note. Those two (and others) deserve a good year next year.

    Agree and disagree.

Don't get me wrong, I think we have an awesome hire, but in the grand scheme of things I would bet Bama and the U hire a couple of solid (proven) coaches. Butch Davis was an excellent pick up for UNC. I am more excited about Chizik than Dantonio, but he has the Head Coaching experience. I'm sure we will do better than ASU and NC State, unless the Wolfpack get Cowhler.

Very true....those two schools have some major cash ready to fire off. I do think we got a guy that would have been on their short lists.

No one has fast trigger JP. Those guys will still be working thru XMAS to find a solution.

    Re: Watching other hires now.

I think Chizik would be in the top three of coaching prospects, barring the big steal by Miami or Alabama. I could see Chizik being announced at a place like that, which is good enough for me. Butch Davis was a good hire too.
