    SI.com Article on Chase Daniel

    Chase Daniel has turned Missouri*into a national*title contender. - Joe Posnanski - SI.com

Pretty good read. Tim Griffin actually linked to it from his Big XII blog on ESPN.

I found this part to be particularly pleasing as an optimistic ISU fan:
Missouri did not rip out the OmniTurf for 10 years -- the era was 1985-94 -- and the Tigers did not have a winning record even once over those years.
That is great to hear considering where Mizzou is now...

Isn't there some kind of rule against posting full articles?

Yes, thanks for the heads up.

They're going to miss him next year. You can't replace a guy like that.

    Thanks, unaware of that.

Out of curiosity, how does the CFN preview each week make it up in its full form?

Isn't he a true sophmore? If so, I don't think he would be eligible for the NFL Draft yet.

    No problem.

Not sure how the CFN preview makes it up. It shouldn't. It may be the product of just slipping through the cracks! We'll watch for it now! Thanks.

Kevin (Excelsior Springs, MO): How did you make the transition from high school to college football so smoothly? How much of your success has been affected by coaching?

Jeremy Maclin: I did redshirt due to an injury, and it helped me get a sense of the speed of the game. Coaching definitely had to do something with the mental part--just learning things and being coachable.

As much as I hate that chubby, booger eating, Missouri, white trash, chinstrap, dirty player ***, he is a hell of a quarterback in his system. I'm not sure if you've watched him play at all this year or last if you're calling him "really overrated." He gets the ball away very quick and puts the ball right on the money nearly every time.

God it pains me to write that.
