    Matters at hand.

    I will make this quick.

Our issues that I kept hearing where job security and personality. I will be honest, i don't know much on Chizek, so i ask these questions.

Does he bring the desire to stay around for a while as Mac had the dedication to?

Does he have the same personality that we all love about Mac?

No, and yes. Although in response to the first one I think that the schools that will be attractive to him above ISU will be the big ones, which I think we all know even Mac would have had a hard time turning down. Personal opinion only.

The beautiful thing about it (at least for us fans) is that if he wants to move up in the coaching world as a head coach, he will have to win consistently for a while in our program. Sure he may leave some day, but if he does it signifies three things: we've succeeded, we're left standing on solid ground, and our next coach will find us more attractive than in the past.

As far as personality, yes he has a good one. Very charismatic, knowledgable, and has a hunger to learn more and get better. Maybe not AS charasmatic as Mac (who is?), but he will have no problem selling the program to fans and recruits.

Well we all appreciated everything mac did for the city of ames and state of iowa. Trips to the hosipital and the out of the way things the did for people.
