How many Superbowls can one team play in a year?

Apparently we're on Superbowl #2 this week.

Shouldn't ever week be your superbowl? Especially for an up and coming team?

This week is the biggest game of Iowa States season. When it's over Baylor is the biggest game of Iowa States season.

I understand what you're saying and I agree with the mentality that you should treat every game as the biggest of the year (which, as history demonstrates, we have not), but technically if every game is considering the Super Bowl, then you sort of negate the superlative aspect of the title. In other words, if every game is "Super" or the "biggest", then they're really all equal and no one game stands out as being worthy of extra distinction.

If there is a "hawk" in your team name - we're gunning for you!

With a few exceptions, at least they are a little more realistic with their predictions. Those other people were predicting 56 -0.

Re: How many Superbowls can one team play in a year?

I didn't read the article. After that Blog interview yesterday, I've had enough for this year of Kansas. What I am about to say is inferred from other comments.

This argument is absurd. Isn't it the goal of every coach to keep their team up for every game? Make sure they aren't looking past an opponent to the game next week? What better way to do that than treat every game as your Super Bowl. Teams who claim a game against ISU isn't as important to them as it is to us are not thinking clearly. In College football, every game matters. Let Kansas lose to us and try to squeek into a BCS bowl this year. I don't see them beating Mizzu this year. Hell, it's my hope every team looks past us this year. I'll gladly take the moniker, "ISU treats every game like it's their Super Bowl." Means our coach is doing something right.
