    Tailgating recipes II: AM version

We've got our first morning game coming up, and although I'm not a huge fan of morning games (save for the bloody mary's) I'm thinking of trying something new for tailgating food this year and wondered if anybody had any good ideas for breakfast type foods. We usually keep it pretty simple, we have a small grill and a propane cookstove. I'm thinking about egg & bacon/sausage breakfast burritos, biscuits and gravy, or something like that. Anyone have any good ideas they want to share? I suppose we could always try beerios...

    TIA!

We've done the homeade mcmuffin thing ... just get some sausage patties and a little skillet to set on the grill for the eggs. Buy some cheese and english muffins and wahlah.

of course you could always swing by mickeydees on the way out ... but that's not as complicated.

I had thought about McD's for some McMuffins, or even better, McGriddles. We usually just drink and snack until after the spirit walk, and then fire up the main course before we go in so I think that stuff would be cold. Cooking something like that in a skillet could be a good idea though, will keep it in mind.

I always had a dedicated frying pan I used on my grill. Get it going nice and hot, put on some bacon, hash browns, maybe make some omelets...or red-and-blue Jayhawk Eggs.

Ahhh the colored eggs... I still love eatting the Hawkeyes for breakfast... right before a 15-13 win.

Offering the K-State fans who were huddling in their SUV for warmth some purple and gold eggs was also pretty entertaining

Oh we will fight, fight, fight for Iowa State,
and may her colors ever fly!!!

Get the small aluminum tins and fry the eggs in them, they are the perfect size. Stick a slice of cheese on when they are about done, english muffins on the warming tray, your choice of meat (canadian bacon is easy) and you have homemade egg mcmuffins. We did it last year and it was a major hit
