    CC Sabathia

All that I have to say is wow...that guy is a true gamer. He could've told the brewers that his contract was almost up and that he didn't want to risk injury by pitching so much...but no...he took the mound again and delivered a great performance.

Too bad he won't get the Cy Young, but I think that he deserves it.

It also doesn't hurt that the Cubs basically used a bunch of their bullpen guys to pitch today and rested DeRosa and Soto too. Howry again showed why he should not be on the post season roster.

He's leading the NL in complete games, and he's been in the NL for about 3 months.

He is awesome... but I would be worried about his durability if they make a deep playoff push.

He is actually tied for the lead for shutouts in BOTH leagues. (3NL, 2AL)

Gamer?? Or absolute idiot? Potentially 4 starts in 12 days? I'll giggle like a school girl if the guy blows his arm out for a team going nowhere.

You know, I'm a Cubs fan too, but I certainly wouldn't giggle like a school girl at a pitcher blowing his arm out. The guy is a total team player. He's done everything he could to make sure his team made it to the next step.

Yeah, I don't want anybody to get hurt. I have been very impressed with CC. I would love for the Red Sox to get him, but as long as he doesn't go to the Yanks I will be happy for him. In today's me generation of athletes, he is a breath of fresh air. He has done absolutely everything in his power to get the Brewers into the postseason. I think he is the baseball story this year.

Dumb statement if you ask me, if you get in the playoffs anything can happen, I'd hardly say the Rockies of last year or the Cardinals in 2006 were the best teams in the NL but they got hot in the playoffs and carried it to the World Series.

His team started slumping, he picked 'em up, put 'em on his shoulder and wouldn't let them die. A team going nowhere? I'd say there are 22 teams who are "teams going nowhere." I'd love to have that horse at the beginning of my rotation who refuses to let his team die. Laughing at people if they get injured isn't even funny, just bad taste. Any true fan of baseball should appreciate to an extent what he's doing for the game, as well as his team.

The fact of the matter is that you're still wayyyy off base. I'd still like to know why he's an idiot. I mean, heaven forbid he put the team before his own personal achievement and put them in a position they've never been in during my lifetime (born 1989).

    Re: CC Sabathia

If he was your son or brother what would you think. He's most likely a meal ticket for an entire county of people. And spare me the "if he were my son I'd be so proud that he's a different kind of professional" BS. Throwing that many pitches in that short of time frame is dumb and the Brewers could not care less. Don't get me wrong. I get coming back on short rest,....but 4 games in 12 days?

Thank you for reaffirming my belief that Cub fans bare a striking resemblence to Hawk fans.

If he was my brother/son I'd say props to you for picking everyone up and being a team player. How exactly do you know that he didn't walk into Mark Attanasio (Team Owner) or Doug Melvin's (General Manager) office and say give me the ball? Maybe he wants to take care of getting everything done he can this year because he knows the playoffs aren't a given every year...

I hate the Hawks as much as anyone, but can we move on? Does it always have to be some tired Hawkeye reference. Let's all step it up and find new ideas. These re-tread lines are played.
