    Nebraska's D

I was watching the Virgina Tech/ Nebraska game last night and the Nebraska D is still very vulnerable. Of course, who but Nebraska fans, thought that a defense that was one of the worse in the nation last season would turn completely around in 10 months. I will give them credit for being strong in the middle, but they make up for it with being abysmal on the edge and weak in the secondary.

This should make for a good matchup for ISU since running up the middle is our weakness. If AA can get time, our receivers (who like deep balls) should expose their secondary, while screens and runs to the edge by ARob will keep them honest. I could also see PB and AA having a big day with QB draws. Guess we'll find out in three weeks.

I don't think you meant to use the term 'valuable', but I still think I got the gist of your statement...

I really hope ISU wins, I think most Husker fans this year seem semi-realistic and know the game is up for grabs.

That said, I will sadly admit this game is my superbowl this year. Winning this game will make my season.

I just heard a Husker fan saying that their game with Mizzou will decide the North and they would probably beat them and Tech...

I am just going by some of my friends who went to UNL.. They aren't huge Husker freaks though, probably less zealous than I am for ISU.

I also lurk the husker boards now and then just to see if they are saying anything about ISU. Last time I was there they seemed reasonable.

Nothing wrong with the Super Bowl comment! I think ISU beats KSU, Baylor along with A&M this season. Beating Nebraska almost assures ISU a bowl game since 2 Big 12 teams will be in the BCS.

I think you meant to use the term "vulnerable" and not "valuable," but not sure.

And yes, we can beat them. But it depends on whether we want to settle for FG attempts or if we find a fullback to convert 4th and 1's.

Thanks, guess I didn't pay close enough attention to spell check.

its probably about time for Tech to hang another 70 on them anyways. Im not seeing a win over TTU in thier future.

You must not know many Husker fans, and have poor reading comprehension skills. I live in Omaha and have to tolerate these @$$***** every day.

To sum up the average Husker fan. Most expect to go 9-3 or 10-2 this season. Most reasonable (that term is relative) 'skers chalk up the Oklahoma game as a loss, but believe the Mizzu game is a toss up - you know our history, home game, track record against Mizzu in Lincoln, we won National Championships in the past, Tom Osborne is AD, order is restored (again), our history. They also feel that way about Texas Tech, and I have heard several people state that Kansas will be a cake walk.

Check out the message boards in 2 weeks after Mizzu and Texas Tech hang half a hundred on them in back to back weeks, and you'll see how the real classiest fans in college football feel.

I hope so but seeing as AROB has not had a big day since the Mizzou game last year chances are it wont happen. I could see AA having a fine game against them.

He had a pretty good game against Colorado. With his speed, I think he will be the best option on the outside.

    Re: Nebraska's D

I was extremely disappointed with the defense Saturday. VA Tech game into the game ranked in the 100's in total offense and Nebraska made them look like world beaters.
