    So true.

I moved to MI for work 3 years ago and the first softball team I played on was named "Fire Millen".

    Re: Millen Out in Detriot

As a Viking fan, I'm sad to see him go. As long as he was running that team they were bound to lose.
As a sports fan, I never understood why he was hired in the first place.

I wonder if the Lions will ask for any of there money back from him? They should! That guy was an embarrassment to an organization that has a lot to be embarrassed about!

Millen milked them for years. He was inept. Maybe they can bring in Dante Culpepper.

    Re: Millen Out in Detriot

The Lions are 31-84 under Millen.
It's a miracle that he lasted this long...especially in the NFL with a "win now" pressure on everyone.

I'll sure miss how Millen made his decisions:

The Lions organization was the one that gave Millen a contract extension a couple years back. It starts at the top.

    Re: Millen Out in Detriot

I am sure he was just getting out of Detroit because Al Davis wants to hire him as a coach.

That does bring up an interesting question.

Since Davis really doesn't want Kiffin as the team's coach, who does he want?

I wonder why he was such a great GM. He came it Detriot with a great resume and track record.

I hear Ferentz is on the short list for that job...
