    Blackberry Storm

Is anyone else excited to actually see and use this phone? I am very happy with my curve but I think I will upgrade when this comes out for my personal phone. (My work phone is a curve also.)

Im not a big fan of touch screens at all, so I'll probably end up sticking with my curve.

    Re: Blackberry Storm

I agree but I don't think Wi-Fi will be that big of an issue to me since I live in good coverage area. As long as Verizon keeps the 29.99 BIS unlimited data package around with this phone I should be good. I would never complain about it having Wi-Fi though. I am just really happy the are going to allow the GPS to be used with outside applications and saving the aGPS for the VZNav.(Which I won't use)

The new Android(Google) phone looks pretty cool too, I just couldn't deal with T-mobile.

I just got a new Pearl Titanium yesterday. I like it so far. It has WiFi, which is sweet, because T-Mobile has unlimited HOt spot calling for $10 per month.

    Re: Blackberry Storm

You are certainly going to want to touch the screen before you buy it. The Storm has a new bread of touch screens that acts as a gigantic button. The feedback system is much different than typical touch screens. It appears to be a very promising entry to the consumer TS market.

Thinking about getting a Curve - is the internet access on it pretty quick/good through Verizon? Is the qwerty keyboard big enough to use easily? Do they have a family data plan?

I think they did, but we didn't look so much for the family part.

The keyboard would be pretty easy to use. My big 'ol fingers didn't have any trouble with it.

Those international calls are KILLER - even from Canadia you get jacked on every call.

I have the Verizon BB Curve (8330) and it is probably the best all around device there is right now. It's incredibly functional, rock solid, extremely fast and the network is miles ahead of the rest. The network is very quick and if you load Opera Mini on it (free and direct from opera.com) you can view entire webpages in their full form without any sacrifices.

I love my curve. Myself and my parents are all on the same plan, and its like 100 bucks a month or something like that for the 3 of us to have everything.(sprint, not sure about verizon) The keyboard is great, it took me all of like 2 days to get good enough to not make many typos and such.

Thanks!! That's the exact model we're looking at getting. Do just you have the data plan, or do you guys have some form of family plan? Does it get pretty good reception? Are texts included in the data plan? Sorry to ask so many questions! Thanks to you, too, cyclonick!!!

When does the Storm come out?

    Re: Blackberry Storm

The Storm is rumored for Nov 3rd.

The Curve BB plan is a little pricey but we have it added on to the standard family plan. We get a 20% discount through work to offset it quite a bit. Texts aren't included but you can get the standard text plans as addons.

I love the keyboard and it's what has brought me back to the Curve. It's incredibly easy and fast to type on and you would have no problems getting used to it. The endless accessories would also be sure to please you. You can see a lot of tutorials and BB beginner type resources on Crackberry.com.

From the sounds of it, it is going to perform similar to the Samsung Instinct with the Haptic feedback. I haven't found that to be a bad way to type. I will definitely put hands on the device before I buy it.
