Good to see us in on such quality prospects. Can someone please link the scholarship distribution chart. I thought we were out of scholarships until the 2011 season.

Agreed...three high major star players (Dwight Hardy, Dwight Buycks, Dendy)on the Indian Hills Roster this year. I've heard our name mentioned with Dendy a few times, he is a stud, but we have some tough competition for his services.

Does anybody know much about Marcus Jordan. He looks very interested in us. Just wondering if he is more hype then talent. Which the hype wouldn't be all that bad consdiering who his father is. It would be nice attention that we would get if he came here.

Doesn't shoot that well, but is tough...probably a backup plan.

Re: Scout's basketball recruiting breakdown has some new names

Before we get all worked up about Marcus Jordan, everyone needs to remember the buzz we had going on here a couple years ago about Jeffrey. Everybody was so convinced that if he came here, MJ would be at games, he would maybe drop a nice donation on us, his presence on the team would get us on ESPN, lots of attention from that national media, etc. He didn't seem to be a BCS callibur recruit, but a lot of us thought the other benefits would be worth the scholly.

As we all know, he didn't come to ISU. That said, how did things turn out for the school that took him? How many people on this board even know where he ended up? How much media coverage has he generated so far? None that I remember seeing.

I'm all about Marcus if he can contribute for us on the floor, but I think recent history has shown that having him here wouldn't bring some of the other intangibles that were getting so many people on here excited about Jeffrey.

Jeffrey is a walk-on at Illinois.

He walked on at Illinois. I live in Omaha, so I don't get the BTN, so I haven't watched any of their games, but I do remember seeing a "special report" on ESPN about him and wanting to be his own man, not his daddy's son. So there has been exposure.

By most accounts his younger brother is a better player so he should get more attention. How good was their dad at that age? He didn't make his HS team until he was a JR.

May not be our first priority, but if we are looking to fill the 'ship with similarly talented or even slightly better players the intangibles are worth it in my opinion. And according to a few posters since he is from Illinois and not Fremont, NE he is definitely worth the offer.

Darius Stevens was on the fans radar more than the coaches. The posts about him still make me want to scream.
