    Changed to 1460 too Early

Wow, changed back to 1460 to catch Marty and Miller and heard the last minute of Jon Miller's show and it just reminded me why I don't listen.

He went off on how worthless the Ryder Cup is, comparing it to the Pro Bowl, then calls it a 'made for tv' event. Wow, considering the Ryder Cup started in 1926 I am guessing the TV networks didn't set it up. The Ryder Cup is the ultimate team experience in an otherwise individual event. I was lucky enough to go to the Ryder Cup when I was 13, at Kiwah Island, it was amazing, comparing it to the Pro Bowl is a joke... Rose Bowl, maybe, but world wide, Ryder Cup is much bigger...

Ryder Cup is my favorite guys night out format for golf... so many things can happen ...

I enjoy it over the US Open.

Jon Miller doesn't know sports. Only thing he knows is Hawkeye Football but even with that he's a big homer.

I was in a sports bar when Justin Leonard drained that huge putt in 1999, you would have thought you were in Wrigleyville and the Cubs just won the series, the place blew up.... Amazing!

Not to rain on the parade here but most sports fans would find it mildly amusing that you guys are ripping on someone for only knowing about a football team and not "getting" the magic of the Ryder Cup.

A VAST majority of Americans couldn't care less about golf on the whole, much less the Ryder Cup. I'm not one of them, but I'm just sayin'.

But at least golf's a sport, unlike Nascar. Uh oh, now I've done it.

On SVP's show he was talking to Ryan Dempster and told him that Ryder Cup guys are near puking (nerves) right before the first tee.

    hooray for 1700!

I think you would be referring to football fans, not sports fans. Sports fans have an appreciation for lots of sports, not just football.

I've disagreed with Jon on a lot of things, but I enjoy his show for the most part. I wish he'd give the Twins some more coverage.

I'm guessing like 70% of all sports fans, Jon Miller can't name more than 4 twins.

I could care less about the Twins for two reasons:
    a. I'm a cubs fan
    b. They are an American League team

BUT I always root for them against the White Sox! :)

I was turned off by Steve Deace back in the day, simply because he refused to talk about baseball at all.

He and the loud guest they have on to pick games were discussing today the chances of Iowa going undefeated this year. I'm not sure he knows much about that football team that you are refering to.
