We could always just boo him on Oct. 4th...as the Iowa fans booed Jake last weekend...

eh, he tried. He also wasn't the reason the offense stalled inside the 20 EVERY time.

Re: What I don't want to hear again

While I admit he is partially to blame, he didn't get too much from Zimmerman on two of them. One really high snap, and one fairly low one.

Things will turn around for him, he's shown that he has what it takes.

he is horrible! Get him off the field! He will never be any good! Bring back yelk! Boooooooooooooooo! Boooooooooooooo!

(kidding of course......the kid will be fine. Bad snaps and a wet field make for a tough day kicking.)

Re: What I don't want to hear again

I was at the game. The first two misses were not his fault. It took the holder was too long to get the ball down. And I mean waaaaay too long.

AMEN!!! People need to realize there is more to making a field goal than just the kicker....

Re: What I don't want to hear again

Tough to put too much blame on the freshman. Rough field conditions today. Horrible playcalling/execution in the redzone. Bad snaps. Our Blitzes looked like we were running into the backfield for the sake of running into the backfield. Big officials calls going against us (Bernstein got away with a pretty big block below the waist on Brodell's return as well).

Exaggeration is a BILLION times worse than understating.

He'll be fine. Some snapping problems and a wet field. It's pretty cool to be able to think about kicking a field goal at 40+

Re: What I don't want to hear again

The last field goal kicker for isu that was money in the bank was Jeff Shudak and before Jeff it was Rich Frank.

Between special teams and field goal kicking is it any wonder isu is picked for LAST PLACE???

The three missed kicks were from the left hash. Obviously he has a problem with those and now he knows what to work on.

    Poor,

He's an eighteen year old doing his best, which by the way he has proven this over his first two starts. The field drainage system did not work last night, the grounds crew worked with squeegys (sp) and blowers to try and dry it out. We sat in row two, you could see the players feet sink into the water logged turf with each step. Imagine what that does when the holder places the ball on the turf for a field goal.
