    Cubs and Milwaukee

Is Milwauke doing the Cubs a favor or what loosing nearly as much as the Cubs are?

If the Cubs don't change their short term ways soon, they're going to limp into the playoffs and get handed their ticket home really soon. I'm not sure what's up, but all the players are playing lousy right now.

    Re: Cubs and Milwauke

They aren't doing me any favors. Last year they blew it because they didn't know how to handle success, this year they are choking. At least the Cubs will make the playoffs. The Brewers better get their head out of their arse or they will be the 2008 version of the Mets.

    Re: Cubs and Milwauke

I think the Brewers have pushed their pitching staff really hard and it may be catching up with them. Sabathia is obviously great, but pushing him to 100 plus pitches every game is hard on a body. I don't follow the Brewers close enough to know how they have been pushing Sheets, but I think he's playing hurt?

I hope they get in. I like the Brewers. I need to go to a game at Miller Park sometime....

    Re: Cubs and Milwauke

Their pitching is holding up pretty well, Sheets is a little banged up, but he is every year, and Sabathia is a machine. They can't hit anything. Last night they had 5 hits in 11 innings, that just ain't gonna get the job done.

I agree that the hitting isn't doing well. We should be able to put away teams...especially bad teams like the reds and padres.

They are pressing, and nothing good when that happens. I think it's time old Yost brought in a sports psychologist, or Fielder needs to go after someone else.

    Re: Cubs and Milwaukee

Ted Lilly just made a har-nosed play at home plate. Maybe that helps out.
    Guy is playing to win.

Since we are an elite team now, let's go get that One Cyclone Moment.
Make this one for the ages!

Lilly is one of my favorite pichers for some reason. Nothing seems to ruffle him when he's on the mound. Just keeps guting it out.

    Please tell me your kidding.

42-54 Record in CF Mafia. The most games played and wins by any player in Cyclone Fanatic History. Yes, I'm a nerd.
