    Re: a rob to start?

Thank goodness. Our run game will be 10X better than it was vs. Kent State. I am calling a 100 yard game from A-Rob and a TD run of longer than 30 yards from him on Saturday. Big time players step up in big time moments.

    Re: a rob to start?

Come on now. I know the Hawkeye football players have been getting into a lot of trouble lately, but I wouldn't expect a robbery right at the start of the game.

Oh sorry, you were talking about something else.

    Sorry, I couldn't resist.

Yeah, he probably could have played against Kent State, but probably wouldn't have been worth it.

He'll start, but according to 33, he won't be 100%. He was guessing 85%.

    Re: a rob to start?

I heard he was limping on the sideline of the Kent State game. If it's a deep tissue injury, I wouldn't expect him to be 100% at all. Both Bass and Scales will really need to step up this week, along with the line.

    Re: a rob to start?

It doesn't matter to me who starts, but who gets most of the carries, and who FINISHES the game.

Glad to hear he's doing well enough to play, but the "starter" for our team as far as RB goes is really overrated as a bunch of guys are going to get some carries.

I agree A-town, loved that quote. About everything just rolls right off his back with a "so what" attitude.

i love threads preluded with this statement. it means i dont have to read them because if you have to prelude your post then yes it has already been talked about and youre just too lazy to look in the day old archives.

    +1

Also, McDowell will play Saturday and Meyer has a job with a DSM area medical company (good for him) - for those not reading the thread/link.

Oh, and Meyer will be tailgating and going to the game this weekend.

Logue on his live chat @ 12:30 p.m. this afternoon said that A-Rob could have played against Kent State. Logue said he looked like a guy who was ready to play.

    Re: a rob to start?

I think ARob playing is vitally important to us. He plays, we win, he doesn't, we lose. He is that much better than our other options, IMO.
