It's on the Big Ten Network, which you will be able to see if you have DirecTV

It's on the BTN if you consider that real TV.

Directv is no problem with B10 as your package. With Dish it is an extra $5 as they make you go from there old Top 100 plan to what they now call the Top 100 plus which is the same Top 100 with the one B10 channel for your area. I thought there advertisement was that they were not charging extra for it, but that ended up B.S.

Mediacom is going to air the game on BTN right (channel 22 in central Iowa)? Didn't they come to some agreement or something? I haven't been paying much attn to the whole BTN/mediacom fiasco...

Yes, you are correct. And I've heard the picture on that channel is less than good.

The BTN on DirecTV can be found in the 600s. There are multiple BTN channels.

One would think that it's on Mediacom somewhere. Imagine the hoards of people disconnecting Mediacom if they waited a year for BTN, then being told they'll have it only to not have the CyHawk game.

Thanks, and yeah, the quality is bad. I watched a little bit of the Iowa game last week and could barely read the numbers on the jerseys when they zoom out.

Yeah, I just thought about that. I guess the Mediacom channel is different throughout the state.

This, of course, is the downside to being on basic cable. I'm sure Mediacom has it in HD up on the digital tier, but for the expanded basic tier (non-digital) programming, they have to downconvert it to SD and then run it through a DAC and then spit it out as RF, which then needs to be processed by your TV.

It looks pretty good in HD over satellite though

    Go to this link...

Big Ten Network GameFinder & Coverage Maps - Big Ten Network

Click on your state, then enter your zip code and service provider for the channel number.

    In Ames...

    DirecTV: 610
    Dish: 439 (SD), 9500 (HD)
Mediacom: no info available... They recommend calling Mediacom at 515-233-4646 to find out more.

Does Mediacom in Florida carry the game? It is probably just Iowa.
