    I knew we were young but . . .

ISU football: 5 things the Cyclones must do differently to beat Kent State | DesMoinesRegister.com | The Des Moines Register

The Cyclones played 35 freshmen or sophomores against South Dakota State, including 11 true freshmen.
    I guess a few JUCO's won't hurt anything.

May my postings be polite and not misunderstood. (And hopefully funny on occasion.)

And then, take a moment to count up how many of the points and turnovers were produced by freshman and sophomores.

Me excited for today, and tomorrow. :)

Re: I knew we were young but . . .

What I liked about the turnovers is that most of them were from smart play. As soon as a defensive linemen gets released for a screen, they need to be looking for the back. Alburtis and Taylor both did that and they both got interceptions. It takes a smart player to realize that they got through the line too easily.

So, should #2 be... Re-injure Julian Edelman?

Don't need to injure him, just get the idea in his head that when he runs with the ball their will be a big hit coming and lots of them.

The key is to develop all that talent. I hope (and believe right now that) Chiz and staff are as good at teaching, coaching and developing all these young players as they are at scouting and recruiting them.

There is really no doubt that 2009-2011 can be really big years in Cyclone Football.

If I remember correctly, the three turnovers we lost were also by freshmen and sophmores. It cuts both ways sometimes. I am glad we recieved more turnovers than gave away though.

Always love those Hawk fans. They are the one that always bring up 15 in a row, and other useless crap. They are also the ones that make endless excuses for loosing to ISU. In most cases the reason your team lost is it just isn't as good as the other team. I can accept that, Hawk fans can't.

Iowa's QB situation will be the excuse this year, wait and see.
