Re: Two OU Athletes Stabbed in Brawl.

You know, I had a HS baseball coach that said nothing good happens after midnight. I think in terms of college athletes, nothing good happens after last call. To many bad things happen at 2 AM or later. Just like that Texas FB player who was arrest of DUI at what 4 AM?? Anything after 130 is just not good.

Johnny Orr also said it after Loren Meyer was nearly killed by the train. It's sage advice...too bad most people don't heed it...

Yea, that baseball coach had some interesting sayings. He also said if you have not gotten any by midnight, you are gonna get it. Oooh the days of when midnight was late for a weekend....

Re: Two OU Athletes Stabbed in Brawl.

The article said both athletes were victims of assualt, yet the school is having someone work with the athletic department to prevent it from happening in the future. How do you prevent student athletes from being victim? Or were they not victims as much as losers in the altercation? One way that it could have been prevented was the coach saying curfew is at midnight and bars are off limits, especially to freshmen BB players who are underage.

Teach them how to identify and walk away from potential trouble situations before they develop.

Odd that both identified were freshmen...at a "nightclub"

But then, I was immature and irresponsible when first away from home, too.

Why is this in the ISU Football forum? Is there some tie?
