While at the game, we were wondering when the last time the Cyclones took the opening drive of the SEASON in for a touchdown. It's had to have been awhile.

Related to that, it was in my mind before kickoff that a team goal, Gene said, is to drive for scores on the first possession of each half. I wondered how the team would do in this regard; danged if our Clones didn't get it done!
Great coaching to set such a goal, imho. Seems like it would add sharpened focus, a greater insistence to succeed on those important drives. If a mere fan such as myself had that goal clearly at the front of his mind, how focused on it must the team have been?
