Idea so Jon Miller can view the ISU-Kent St game

Do WHO soundoff from the JTS parking lot or if there is an open suite somewhere do it from there. I tuned in for about 5 mins of the show tonight to see how Iowa faired and it sounded like Jim was on the phone, if he can do that why cannt you do a remote. BTW the phone thing doesnt come through on radio very well.

Zabel doesn't do the radio thing very good anymore. He seems to have to be carried by whoever he's on the radio with. It's not his fault that sometimes old age just catches up with you.

Re: Idea so Jon Miller can view the ISU-Kent St game

Help me out -- why do we want Miller to attend this game?

Gene Smith, 1993-2000. 7 years, 6 NCAA's, 1 bowl game. Revenue sports postseason participation 50%. Good.
    Bruce Vandevelde, 2000-20005. 5 years, 4 bowl games, 2 NCAA's, 2 NIT's. Postseason participation 80%. Better.
    Jamie Pollard, 2005-. 4 years. 1 bowl game, 0 NCAA's, 0 NIT's. Postseason participation: 13%. The next big step.

My ignore list: splitidentity, tarheelhawk, superdorf, clones_jer. That is all.

...and sometimes, after it catches up with you, it pours you another glass of Scotch.

Yeah well, ya know, that's just, like uh, your opinion, man.

Because he is slowly becoming a Cyclone fan. He doesnt know it yet and is blowing off his urges to be one but he is starting to see the light. Getting him to games is just one more step in the transformation process.

Re: Idea so Jon Miller can view the ISU-Kent St game

Miller also gives pretty decent analysis of the Cyclone football/basketball program. I prefer to listen to his analysis of the Cyclones rather than that of his counterpart on State of the Nations. His counterpart swings from chugging the Kool-aid one week to taking his glass and spiking it into the ground the next. I like Miller's even-keeled analysis of the Clones.

Of course Miller doesn't just drink the Hawkeye Kool-aid, he takes it intravenously through a tube in his arm. But you just have to ignore that part.

Zabel also doesn't do the whole pronouncing words thing anymore.

Say what you will about Zabel, he was still better than Dolphin is. Ugh. 'Course, that doesn't take much.
