Is there TV for Kent State?

I sure hope so. I really, really want to see this game.

Tickets still available... just skip the Iowa game.

    No TV. No webcast.

Iowa kicks at 11, right? Plenty of time to get to Ames by 6.

There are not many crowds or places in the country that have a better impact on the game than at Iowa State. The Cyclone fans are truly a sixth man. The place is so loud and always a fantastic crowd." - Former Kansas and current North Carolina head coach Roy Williams

Pull the double, I've done it before. 11am in Iowa City, 6pm in Ames. It's really fun.

Re: Is there TV for Kent State?

I have Soundoff until 7, so I am out.

That stinks. And I've not been in the closet. I genuinely like the coaches of ISU's most prominent sports teams, and when it comes to news, evaluations, opinions, etc, they are going to get my level best and respect.

Now, that doesn't mean I am not going to say some things that will ruffle the feathers of the thin skinned.

Some folks that wear the cardinal and gold are going to assume that I stay awake at night and devise ways to embarrass or degrade ISU. You have the wrong guy, wrong era, wrong spot on the dial.

Jon, you best not let everyone in on this... I assume most of your loyal listeners are ISU fans who listen 'cause they think you hate us.

The majority of ISU fans welcome you're opinion as its well researched and calm. Their is a small % of all fan bases that hate everybody not related to their school. It's a shame, but a product of the message board world.

It takes 30 mins to get from dsm to ames. Cut out of whineoff earily and head to ames, I'm sure you can get a presspass. What is better watching ISU play FB or listening to Iowa fans complain, say how bad they think JC is, and claim they can call plays better than the Iowa OC.

Jon Miller is just keeping his enemies closer... He wants to get close to us to later TAKE US DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not really, but it would be funny if this was all part of his "master plan" to destroy ISU

I will say this; I was very happy today when I chose to open the phones for 25 minutes, which is a pretty big roll of the dice to leave yourself that much time for phones, and ISU fans answered that call. I was very happy with that, because it was a blast. I told my wife tonight that was the most fun I have had on air in many months.

I just love talking football, and like I said this week, I hope ISU keeps playing that Thursday night game to open the year for many years to come. A great way to kick off the college football season.

All this being said, I am sure I am a few days away (nothing planned, just saying) from ticking people off again :)

Re: Is there TV for Kent State?

    Jon,
I'm from Minnesota and caught a glimpse of your TV show after the game (must have been a replay) Is that the typical format you use? And who is the guy on with you? Sorry for my ignorance, but have not up on local TV. Maybe you can fill me in on it.
    Thanks.

Re: Is there TV for Kent State?

Jon, don't forget you can catch a replay of the game on the replay show the week after the game if you have Mediacom or Clone Zone.

    Oh, and go Black Bears!
