Halftime Passes to leave the stadium?

Is this still an option this year or since they've renovated the west side, this is no longer an option?

I don't go out at halftime any more (usually not anyway) but others are interested in knowing.

I thought the answer was no... But I am not sure.

I called up there a couple weeks ago and was told that nothing has changed. In fact, cyclones.com still says a stamp is required and your ticket to re-enter!

Re: Halftime Passes to leave the stadium?

I think last year they said it would be the last season for leaving. The reason to allow leaving was always the lack of bathrooms. From what I've heard leaving at halftime is still ok this year.

Is it just me or does it appear that the east side will actually have less bathrooms this year?

Re: Halftime Passes to leave the stadium?

Why such an uproar about leaving at halftime. If you tailgate properly before the game you will need the entire game to sober up enough to get home. There really isn't a good reason to leave at the half.

We are trying to escape from the band.

Band or no band are you there to support ISU athletics or miss the beginning of the second half? Everyone should be in there seats when the team comes back on to the field. A little support helps the team moral quite a bit.

Unfortunately the product on the field the past ahhh 30 years has mandated a certain amount of halftime lubrication to make it through the second half. Hopefully this will change someday.

My gut feeling says positive change is right around the corner. Let's hope it is sooner than later.

With a well constructed plan, halftime lubrication can occur while still making the opening kickoff in the second half. It does require some preparation, good timing and deft coordination, but it is possible.

A friend without a ticket waiting just outside the gate with a couple beers doesn't hurt either!
