Good Article- Sedrick Johnson, Iowa State football

This is an article from the local Texas paper and is a good read about the team. Good publicity for Iowa State football, but I hope they stop stealing players away from A&M, lol. Best of luck Thursday.

When it's all said and done, I think these two will be among the best we've had. They'll be battle tested this year for sure and will be a great luxury in the next 3.

When is the last time we had 2 stud WR's who were freshmen? I seriously can't remember two that I've been more excited to see.

"(Darks) runs great routes. He's a fast guy, he lines up in the slot for us and he runs great routes. He's a real heady player for a freshman," said sophomore quarterback Austen Arnaud, who will get his first career start Thursday. "Sedrick's just an athletic freak."

I dont think that is the case at all. I think most of us were disapointed he never lived up to our hype. He was a great Cyclone and is a Cyclone great. He just never became that All Big 12 WR we thought he would be after his first 2 years of play. The reasons for this are clear to some of us and there was a reason they didnt always throw the ball to Blythe.

Good find. Glad to see newspaper coverage of the Cyclones is as good in Texas as it is in Des Moines.

Yep, and having a chronic, life threatening illness had nothing to do with that. Dude, that is in such poor taste.

Agreed. The guy has Crohn's (sp?) disease for crying out loud. It's basically a living hell from my understanding. It's just impressive he even took the field last year...
