    Rain Thursday??

What's the deal... I thought we were in the clear for Thursday? Now I see rain predicted for Thursday on most forecasts. Someone tell me this isn't accurate!

I see rain earlier that day and a clear night. So if it does rain on Thursday, make it early!

It's Iowa. There is no point in paying to attention to the forecast more than one day out from the day in question. Anyone who looked at the forecast last week and really put any stock needs to get used to that, lol. I wouldn't even put much stock in today's call for thursday. If they are talking rain on wednesday, than I'll take note...

PS, when since when does a 40% chance = calling for rain? if you were going to put stock into the early forecast, the odds are still considerably greater that it won't rain than it will...

    Re: Rain Thursday??

I would check on Tuesday. The further out, the less accurate it is.

    Re: Rain Thursday??

Think its only a 10-20% chance predicted right now. Very slim chance at this point. Of course, that predicted chance can increase in a couple of days.

    Wednesday 30% Chance Rain
    Wednesday Night 30% Chance Rain
    Thursday 30% Chance Rain
    Thursday Night Clear

7-Day Forecast for Latitude 42.04N and Longitude -93.65W

Maybe it will rain early and move on out for a nice afternoon/evening of tailgating and football.

    Re: Rain Thursday??

I wouldn't be alarmed as it only a 30% chance but keep an eye on it. As far as forecast accuracy goes, typically 4 days out is when the big swings stop happening. Outside of 4 days the computer models(upon which a good deal of forecasting is based) are prone to some rather large swings.

Jon Miller said it would be sunny for the game. Hence, it will rain.

    It's a 5-day forecast. It isn't accurate.

Thursday's night forecast calls for a steady reign of TD's thrown from Arnaud and Bates. Ba dum dum....ting.

    Re: Rain Thursday??

Wow. I'm trying to remember back to see if I or any of my college friends ever complained about a gameday forecast.

A tailgate is a tailgate. Rain, shine, ice, or snow.
