The articles don't mention ISU as one of her choices.

No. Drake, Creighton, and most other Valley schools as well as Boise State.

Man I bet her dad is going to be torn on that one...huge ISU fan

Im just glad I have Homan as my bodyguard, Eustachy joked. If I ever make it real big and get to drive a limo everyday, hell be driving it. I thought he came off the bench like somebody was stealing his cow or something.

Me, too. Iowa City is the perfect distance from Ames to test a relationship out to see if it is truly serious. Harrison and Trisha will be able to visit each other occasionally without having their relationship get in the way of their academic and athletic ambitions.

True ... close enough to Ames for them to still date so he can go the state school he actually wants to go to.

Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that. ~ George Carlin

There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year olds life:
The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves Orcs. ~ John Rogers

Re: Trisha Nesbitt headed to Iowa

This is an obvious case of Iowa offering a girlfriend only to get her boyfriend to come as well. Nesbitt is an ok player, but not worthy of Big 10 or Big 12.

If Lisa Bloater wants to sacrifice the good of her own team, for the slight chance that HB decides to go to Iowa.... so be it. Fennelly wouldn't do that. Fact is.... if Fennelly thought Nesbitt was good enough to offer a scholarship to, he would have done it. You don't let kids get out of Ames without offering if you feel they are quality players.

Good luck Hawkeyes. Looks like our women's team will continue to dominate you like always.... and when HB chooses ISU, we'll dominate you in MBB as well. We already are dominating you in football... which will definately continue under Chizik.

There is no chance Barnes is going to be a Hawk.

It's an absolute case of Harrison Barnes-chasing - if it isn't, why is Iowa the only BCS school to offer her? Sure, MVC teams aer generally good teams, but you yourself have even argued that the MVC doesn't compare to the Big 10. Plus Barnes has said himself he would like to go to the same place his GF goes to. Therefore, this offer is purely in the hopes that Barnes follows.

I know the MVC isn't as good as the Big Ten. However, just because Bluder offered her doesn't mean she's trying to do Lick a favor. Honestly, the Iowa WBB team has been relatively solid for years, and they have a very good group of players returning next year. If Bluder offered the kid, she probably thought she was pretty decent.
