Don't Cry because it is over, smile because it happened

Despite that, I saw many salty eyes as Mac walked on to the field, with his message and memories. The send off he got from the field was set for a king, indeed he was a king and JTS was his kingdom. I then got teary as Mac remained first class in his final post game interview. We did cry for Mac, because we are sad that Dan will no longer be our coach.

May God Bless you Dan, and the Cyclone football family in your future endevors.

I won't lie...I cried as they carried Mac off the field. As they carried him up the ramp, I yelled, "At ISU, you'll always be called coach! You'll always be Coach McCarney to me, Mac! Always!"
